Damavand. Tomb tower This Seljuk tomb tower, situated on a hill above and to the east of the village of Damavand, was probably erected early in the third quarter of the 11th century (5th century A.H.). The brick walls of the octagonal structure are faced with a decorative brick revetment. The external height of the tower, from the stone foundation to the top of the octagonal dome, is 32 feet (9.89 m.). The diameter on the inside, at floor level, is about 16 feet (4.85 m.).
